Race Rules
At Himalayan Enigma – Trail of the Gods, we are committed to promoting sportsmanship, safety, and respect for both fellow participants and the environment. All participants are expected to adhere to this code of conduct:

Where: Dolakha, Nepal
1. Respect for Others:
- Treat all fellow participants, event officials, volunteers, and spectators with respect and courtesy.
- Avoid aggressive or unsafe riding that may endanger others.
2. Trail Etiquette:
- Yield the trail to slower riders when appropriate.
- Communicate your intentions clearly with hand signals and verbal cues.
3. Environmental Responsibility:
- Ride only on designated trails and avoid creating new paths.
- Dispose of trash in designated receptacles and follow “Leave No Trace” principles.
4. Fair Play and Sportsmanship:
- Compete fairly, following the rules of the race.
- Encourage and assist other participants in need, especially in case of injury or mechanical issues.
5. Safety First:
- Wear all required safety gear, including a helmet, at all times during the race.
- Comply with safety and course officials’ instructions.
6. Health and Fitness:
- Ensure you are physically and mentally prepared for the race’s challenges.
- Consider your own health and well-being during the event.
7. Clean Racing:
- Refrain from using banned substances or performance-enhancing drugs.
- Compete with integrity and fairness.
8. Respect the Trail and Environment:
- Stay on marked trails and avoid disturbing wildlife or vegetation.
- Follow any event-specific environmental guidelines.
9. Doping and Substance Use:
- Abide by anti-doping rules and regulations.
- Do not use banned substances or methods that could give an unfair advantage.
10. Adherence to Rules:
- Follow all event rules and regulations, including timing, checkpoints, and starting procedures.
- Accept any penalties or sanctions for rule violations.
11. Spectator Interaction:
- Encourage spectators to follow event guidelines and be respectful of participants and the environment.
12. Protest and Appeals:
- If you have concerns or disputes, follow the official protest and appeals process outlined in the event regulations.
Important Note: Failure to adhere to this code of conduct may result in penalties, disqualification, or expulsion from the event. We believe that by upholding these principles, we can create a safe, fair, and enjoyable mountain biking racing experience for all participants.
